Beyond that, most retailers use darker colors and earth tones that match the natural outdoors colors of where most shooting and hunting equipment is used. People think we're all just a bunch of gun nuts, but we really do love the outdoors as well.

I'm not sure any specific color will entice someone to buy. Colors can appeal to someone, and give them good feelings, but I doubt make them buy.

I agree with the camo colors as a color to relate to gun and outdoor enthusiasts, I would also add Red White and Blue.

Camo for certain. Blue water. Brown mountains. white snow. green trees.

Camo may be good but will limit the response. It's really just for hunting, right?

i'm agree with thecynicalmarketer, schulte and michael.

But you need to use not only camo colors but also and site design. You need to make on your site appropriate atmosphere for your further visitors... For examle I'm visitor and I came to your site what I should see that your site not the military site but the site, which selling sports goods, guns and ammo... it could be some mix of camo and wood colours (associated colours with hunting)...
