Charge For Events Organizing With All In One Pack

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hi,

One of our clients approached us to organize their product launching for their company and would like to have everything to be given in one contract.

so, as for the events organizing, ocular inspection, events floor plan, preparation, decoration, audio video, performers, florists, stage etc how much do you think should i charge them in dollars? plus the date is way too close and always rushing us, but as the time we have given the quotation they are always asking to revise it.

What is the justifiable charge should i give them including the ocular and events floor plan?

thanks.

Most exposition and event services providers charge a flat fee, but it is based more or less on the hours it should take an experienced professional to do the work. Calculate this number and then it times the rate that is most reasonable. I would suggest a number between $50 and $100 depending on your position and your client's budget.

    Best of Luck, JohnnyB.

Hi Alex, based on your question of how much should you charge I'm guessing events are not something you've ever done. Yes, it is usually priced out as an entire project. It is standard practice to upcharge all ancillary services between 15-20 percent. Clients that have done events before understand that. No you are not providing the flowers but you are spending time arranging for them to be there and pricing services. Thus the upcharge.

If you are looking for a total figure you should charge your client that's impossible to tell. It's similar to asking a contractor how much it costs to build a house.

i've done and organized several events before but only for our company not as a paid events organizer.

The problem is, this client doesn't also understand that she should pay me for my time arranging external stuff like that flower arrangement, stage, decors etc.

ok so could you please give me an idea for this:

their event is a formal dinner party for 100pax with only 10days notice and to prepare. i have conceptualized the entire evening set-up even the "butler service" style of servings in the hotel. But for the client it's just an idea - no need to pay.

another, the client wants me to handle, contact and arrange the decors, flowers, invitations, designing, ad placements and more.

it seems like a big contract, but on the contrary the company is also ignorant about organizing a formal event.

the reason why i'm asking how much should i charge them is because they don't want to pay for the "professional fees as an organizer" they only want to pay for the service in a low low price but wants the quotations and service in a snap.

plus, i want a contract first to sign before doing anything and showing them the designs and etc. but they want to have the designs and quotations first then they will decide.

    it really drives me crazy.

I have 4years experience in a luxury hotel in south as an events organizer and now i have decided to start my own events company.

is $50-100/hr justifiable to charge your client for your time?
