    Dear InnovationCoach,

Might it be better to ask how people overcome barriers?
My guides to overcome barriers are as follows:

    Become the authority.
Proclaim victory as you march out onto the field of battle.
    Tell yourself you can.
    Maintain a positive mental attitude.
    Laugh at business morons.
Find a way or make one.
If you're stuck when it comes to writing, read a book.
    Associate with winning minds.
    Answer questions on the KHE.
Smile, even when the BS is raining down.

    I hope these help.

I challenge your basic premise that " ... Everybody wants to learn and understand their barriers to entry of Innovation." Some do and some don't. There are plenty of successful people who make their mark by executing flawlessly and have no interest whatsoever in innovating.

So the question really should be, "Are the 10 barriers to entry of innovation (as posited in the book) relevant to you? And if they are, do you agree with them, and/or do you have others?" (And do you have the patience to read through 10 pages of content to even deal with the subject?)

All that aside, congratulations on getting your book published. I hope you achieve whatever objectives you have for the book. And, if you don't mind, a lot of us here would like to know how you plan to market the book. We get a lot of questions from new authors about book marketing, and it would be great if you could share some of your thinking and experiences with us.

I've found that most people can't innovate in a vacuum. While there are some leading thinkers (including true visionaries/Black Swan people), most people do better by evolving a product or service.

Therefore, for me innovation must start by understanding the target market's needs. While you could innovate something without having an audience, it's much easier to solve a need than create one. Just like in marketing, it's understanding where the pain is, and creating effective solutions to solve them.
