    Idea #1: Contact decision makers at the local businesses who use/own/lease large trucks to find out how they make the purchase decision, what they consider to be important, what they value. Ask too about who they believe are their best suppliers (of anything) and why.

    Don't go in trying to sell them on anything. Just get them comfortable giving you the information. Ask a few high-gain questions, listen carefully to what they say, and take detailed notes.

    After you've done this with a dozen people, step back and review your notes. You'll be amazed at how much useful information you will have amassed.

    Marketing is all about understanding what customers are going to need. If you approach the challenge with a curious and open mind, you'll learn what you need to know, And the process will give you a whole range of "great marketing ideas" for your company.
