I'm looking into the professional audio industry.
For example audio equipment like JBL loudspeakers for tour events, cinema's, award shows, recording studios. How does one market themselves in this market?
Who makes the decision from the clients side?
As in how does the Oscars or Grammy's decide who to use and what equipments to buy or rent. I'm assuming they are sourced out to professionals. And if so how do these professional companies source their equipment? Is there a trade magazine they refer to?
I'm also assuming this is a fairly small market with a limited amount of brands. So do they do it on word of mouth and previous experience and knowledge? How would say Bose approach someone who is already using JBL?
What is the typical process for people in this industry to aquire knowledge about products etc.
Thanks,
David
