How To Increase Street Sales!

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hi!

My name is Milan im 21 years old and currently living in Holland and studying Art/PR and Media production!

English isn't my first language so pardon for my grammar mistakes!

Currently im working for one of the biggest children’s fundraising organisations world-wide and that's what my question is about.

I do street sales and i convince people to help the organisation and become a member for a period of 3/4 months for 7,50 Euros a month.. They need to cancel the membership there selves, a lot of people have a big problem with this ( I can imagine of course, cause the problem is people just forget to cancel it and stay a membership for a longer period of time )

I have sales experience but currently my sales are increasing and i want it to go the other way of course.

In Holland there are a lot of street sellers and mostly for fundraising organisations, my advantage is that the organisation i work for is one of the biggest world wide so almost everyone knows it!

My selling technique is based on the fact that i get people to like ''me'' as a person for them to accept the membership.

This is mainly because people don’t really care about the worldwide problems and they only buy off there own guilt. Especially in Holland people spend a lot of money on fundraising for example ''Haiti'' in Holland we raised 111 million euros and we only have 16 million people in our little country!

I want to increase my sales the problem is that all the conversations are cold-approaches i don’t know the people and they don’t know me, plus they don’t get a product or anything so i cant focus on the ''need of the product''

Do you guys have any experience regarding street-sales? And do you maybe have any tips or readings for me to increase my sales?

Most of the common excuses i get are:

*I need to ask my partner/lover/husband
*I already help a lot of organisations
*I don’t want to cancel it myself but i want to give one donation in cash

Many thanks!
