Hi and welcome. Assuming that this is business and not homework to answer your question you need to define "Idealistic Product Assortment" What does Idealistic in the context of paints mean? Left wing colours? Environmentally Friendly? Would appeal to a budding new Le Corbusier?

If it’s idealistic in the interior decorating sense, its possibly answerable – it’s been done here by Sanderson and others for small, expensive volumes at high risk – high margin.

As far as paints as a whole are concerned sales are mainly for matt emulsion and gloss, mainly with white as the most popular colour because that is what 90% of people want to buy!

Marcus - quite brilliant. I got a similar answer but I didn't want to admit to using a crystal ball, so went for the safe option of suggesting that better question definition might lead to an answer which is viable.

I'm a sales forecaster, you're a futurish - together we could do hard sums and make music!
