What Currency Should I Charge My Customers In.

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hi, I was wondering what currency to charge my customers in as I'm sure it's affecting my buyers. My website is www.retro-jet.com and I'm based in the UK, the website aims to sell to customers worldwide. At the moment I'm charging in Pounds sterling, so so far all my customers have come from the UK. I buy my products from the supplier in EURO, should I stick to sterling or change to EURO or US dollars as my audience is worldwide. I didn't think it would be a problem as paypal does the conversions when purchasing. But are my customers solely from the UK due to the currency I use?

Allow the user to show the price in local currency - that's how they'll understand the cost of your products. For one solution, take a look at: https://dynamicconverter.com/createawebsite

I agree with showing in local currency.

Your showing in pounds may be part of why you get mostly customers in the UK. Plus also how you say "free shipping to UK and worldwide" - showing a bias for UK by listing it specially.

Send a note out to your clients and ask. Very easy to switch...unless you're cashing checks.
