There are some legal regulations for doing these type of studies, But its not that much strict. How to effectively sell my service? Since i am new to the industry, i dont have much contacts and thats the biggest challenge i am facing now. Help me to find a suitable solution.

Now you know what companies go through. How are THEY supposed to know which company to choose if YOU don't know how to differentiate yourself.

You have to make that determination and then go out and tell companies what makes you the right consultancy. This is why places like Angie's list come into being...because companies/individuals are afraid they'll make a wrong choice.

(2 steps down off the soap box)

The selling part is easy. Fortunately, name recognition works in the absence of hard facts. Contact more companies than your competition and you'll win. (Can you say: voter turnout?)

can you provide more information? For example, what geography will you be working in? Is this an established company or a new company? How much sales and marketing experience do you have? Does your company have a website? Which tactics have you tried so far, and how have they worked for you?

I have personally worked on similar projects, and I found the best prospects to be companies going through some form of organizational change (adding a new division, entering a new market, being acquired). One tactic which I have used is to search www.monster.com for certain keywords which would identify companies addressing these issues (e.g. ISO 14001)
