I'm hoping you can help me. I've taken on the volunteer job of both promoting a conference and then engaging the attendees during the conference -- using social media. The conference is in September, in California. This is going to be done with with volunteers. Here is what I'm looking for.
- A sample social media plan written specifically for a conference or event
- Best ways you've seen social media used to increase attendance and awareness of a conference or event
- Examples of great and memorable ways social media has been used to support a conference
- Resources I should know about
- Brilliant success stories, with someone to contact about what they did it and how they did it
- Best place to perhaps find a great Social Media intern (who would probably be paid a stipend)
-Resources I should know about
I am excited to be doing this, am a frequent user of social media, but am a bit too time-challenged to start from scratch.
Please -- specifics, direct links to resources, and actual documents are most wanted and needed.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
