Monthly Evening Sale Theme

Wanting to start a monthly evening sale night for a uniform store (medical scrubs, retaurant wear, shoes, supplies and accessories). This is a fun store, bright and cheerful colors with a touch of whimsy. Need a light, fun and inviting theme! Will have popcorn & pop as refreshments! Theme needs to be in keeping with what we sell as well as possess a touch of whimsy & fun!

    (Aside: If you create a monthly sale, you'll probably cannibalize sales the rest of the month, since you'll be training people to wait for the sale.)

    Are your customers likely to want to come to an evening sale to purchase their uniforms? Why not make it a movie night - showcasing various professions whose uniforms you stock?

    Oops. I am sorry I didn't get your question the first time. You were asking for a theme, not a name.

    If you want to make it monthly, do a promo instead of a sale. Jay is right. You will be training the people to wait for sale night before they buy.

    Give freebies or discount coupons.

    Do most of your customers or prospects work shifts? If so, I would consider varying the time of day - morning, afternoon and evening.

    Rather than discounting, my preference is to try to increase the average transaction value. Therefore, bring a co-worker, receive free X, buy one get discount on second item, buy $100 receive Free - you get the idea.

    I'd also consider partnering with a complimentary retailer or service for prizes. If the audience is largely female, win free makeover, spa day, etc.
