What about a newsletter/flyer that you circulate to high school students? These are low cost to print and circulate - all you need ensure is that the content is relevant and captures the reader's attention on visual and intellectual levels.

Why not place posters around the schools (and even the city??) detailing your offering. The best chance you have of generating the desired response is to place such advertorials in relevant places that appeal to your target audience, at a time that they are thinking of such possibilities. A4 or A3 posters are not too expensive to get printed as you wouldn't require vast quantities. A few hundred should suffice!

Another possibility is to send out regular (bi-monthly for example) 'e-flyers' to all students advising of your educational/vocational offerings upon graduation. The schools obviously have the entire student mailing list, so all you need do is generate the flyer (and seek approval for access to the database of course!). This is not overly difficult as i've done it myself, but you may need someone who knows about HTML/mailing software to help advise (i can advise further from my own experience if required!!)

You could also ask tutors for a 2-5 minute slot at the end of a class to VERY briefly talk about your offering, and leave your newsletter/flyer for students to take away - the best way to get your message across is by talking face to face with your target audience - the other efforts are to enforce and remind of your offering.

One last suggestion would be to set up specific work groups - high school students often have 'study' or 'free' periods, so you could set up seminars/work-groups in schools/colleges to talk in more detail of what you can offer, similar to a career's guidance officer.

    Hope this helps!

    Great feedback dla!

We have initiated contact with local schools to begin presentations, booth setup at their sites. Have also looked into SEO for our website. An additional direction we are keen on taking is coordination with the industry to initiate demand driven courses.

I guess my question revolved around inexpensive marketing strategies with the focus on youth market (18-25) specifically in Pakistan. I am hoping there are some marketing experts from the region on this site :P

You could get some past trainees to give their testimonials in video format. Then transcribe what they said and use these in your flyers and e-flyers. Nothing beats a real, third party 'endorsement' especially if these trainees have been successful. You could also use the videos (edited first of course) to share during the 5-10 mins that you have between classes. This gives potential students a better idea of what to expect, etc.
