Sales Incentives

In your experience, what's the most successful incentive you've used to motivate your sales team to take part in a promo? We typically use gift cards or cash spiffs, but are looking for some other alternatives.

    Sales people are generally money motivated.

    Depends on how much money you're talking about. $250 gets absorbed into the family budget if it's in cash...especially if it's direct deposit.

    $5000, not so much. What you want is a special experience for the salesperson (and family if need be) based on their efforts. Some people like trips..I don't. I gave away trips to Hong Kong and Hawaii because they were of no interest. I rewarded my inside sales support staff instead.

    Ask ask ask. So many companies make decisions without receiving input from the end user or winner, in your case.
