Frequency Card

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I think it would boost our business (convenience store) if we come up with a frequency card. We already have some share of customers and would like to maintain them and get more to come. We have also thought of a monthly discount coupons to be given out to customers. There would be a product of the week that will have discount. What do you think is better to be launched first, the frequency card or the discount coupons?

Why not use the coupons to get people to sign up for an email VIP program? That way you're building business today AND for the future.

I believe the frequency card will contribute to creating more loyal customers compared to the coupons.

Regarding discount coupons: how are you going to give them out? I think the way of distribution will be key to this activity. You should as well see what is your competition and what activities they have.

    Karen, it's for general sales.
Phil, that is what we are thinking of, too. We will indicate the validity of the coupon.
Jay, how will I include the VIP email program? I like that idea.
Elisa, we plan to give out the discount coupons to every customers who purchase a certain minimum amount which we are still discussing.

I know the frequency card would be better in gaining loyal customers, but it has to be planned carefully. It will also cost more. We have to create a way to monitor their purchases.

As for the coupons, it's easier to do and costs so little. I think we also have to advertise about this.

I prefer the coupons. I lose all the loyalty cards...unless it's on my key chain. I never lose coupons.
