New Homecare Medical Equipment Us Launch

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are a small company with limited funds who is developing a new product for transferring patients/disabled from e.g.. wheelchair to toilet. It has some unique features and a potentially low price point. The product is mechanical with no ongoing running costs, and is designed to be compact and save the carers from back injury.

It is targeted primarily at the disabled and elderly who have some movement/strength and want to remain at home. The secondary target is carehomes.

Our competitors range from small national companies but are mostly large multinationals.

I am trying to understand the best strategy/route to market to launch the product. Most of this type of product seem to be sold through distributor networks and online distributors. Is this the most effective way, if so how best to differentiate our offering with these distributors?

    Thanks for this.
Any idea's how to differentiate our offering for distributors so they sell ours above our competitors?
Do you know the level of markup a typical distributor would use?
