Take the word gimmick out of your vocabulary.

Marketing is a journey not a destination. Look at the grocers. When I'm pondering what to make for dinner, my thought might be, I wonder what they have on special.

Make some big buys and tap your reps for coop money to get the word out.

I'm curious, what does your store look like? Is it clean and well organized? Is the parking lot well lit? Are your employees dressed in some consistent color or uniform or something? Are you using colors and graphics which are interesting and exciting, or drab and depressing?

I would encourage you to bring a camera and to take a lot of pictures of your store. When you work there every day for long hours, is easy to overlook small maintenance items and things needing attention. I am personally not any sort of retail expert, but there are certainly some on this forum, and I would bet that if you posted some pictures of your store somewhere we can see them, you could get some good and helpful feedback from some of the retail experts here on MarketingProfs.com/ea

One more consideration: do you want to drive new traffic into the store and/or increase the ticket size of current customers?

You might need a two-prong approach depending on your location, product offerings, etc.
