Selling A Pre Registered Trademark

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
In January of this year (2010) I filed for my first trademark and it recently passed the thirty day opposition period with no disputes being filed against it. It currently has a serial number (the name not being registered and/or attached to any product) and was filed under intent to use. This particular one word name was filed under class 28 (pet toys), however I believe that the name could encompass the entire pet industry if marketed properly.

My original intention was to use the trademark (if approved) to sell pet related products on the internet, but after some thought decided otherwise, money & time involved being the main reasons. I would like to sell the name if at all possible. From what I've read on the USPTO website this may be possible, however the name must be "in use" before it can be transfered. I consider the name to be unique and marketable when one sees most pet businesses as either "pet this" or "pet that."

If you would happen to know of someone or group that may be able to assist in this endeavor i would be most appreciative.
