Moving The Slow Moving

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
hi,

need your help. we are into multi level marketing of apparels, shoes, accesories etc. we market it to c,d,class. we hv items from infants to adults.

we have hundreds of SKUs and we have many slow moving items.

i am thinking of a way to make the slow moving, move fast. any promo or event or affair that i should do to make it appealing to the customers? we have bulk buyers or the big time that buys a lot of stocks for their stores and walk in customers that buy only for their personal use or this are just small time dealers. we distribute thru branches and from branches it will be ordered by the big and small dealers for their downlines or personal use.

please help me make a strategy on how to manage this slow moving item. we are already giving our members the incentives, rebates, trips, gift items, etc.

but we want to dispose our stocks of the slow movng ones but we make sure we still hve earnings since we already offer as high as 50% discount.

any other form of strategy wil help.

thanks.

Make the slow moving items as free items when they purchase a minimum amount of $$$ on kids apparel or ladies pants or something. Or the item will be sold in discounted price for a minimum purchase of $$$. Post in on your monthly catalogue or fliers. Be sure to make the offer look interesting. Lay-out of the catalogue is important to get the attention of dealers and customers.

thank you for all the responses. we actually have all items from clothing apparels to personal care. we market through catalog, this is our store. combination of new items and old items are still included in the catalog. we are giving up to 50% discount to all members. i like one of the ideas of selling it in bundles. any more suggestions will greatly help our inventory. then i will talk to the IT department coz whatever promo we have will affect the system, the POS.
