Hello guys,
I'm thinking of writing a book about leadership and i'd like to be as helpful as possible for everybody.
Let's imagine that you found the perfect book about leadership.
What would you look for in a book about leadership?
What structure would you prefer?
What questions would you want to be answered in this kind of book?
Thanks and when it will be ready i'll send you a copy for free.

    Dear senol.asan,

Stop thinking about it and start writing.

What would I look for in a book about leadership? Proof that the people in the book have walked the walk, can talk the talk, and that they have the balls and the chops to back up what they say.

What structure would I prefer? Real examples. Interviews with people resonate because they offer personality.

What questions would I want answered? Of the people interviewed, I'd like to know what they did wrong, how they kept going, what drove them, what they learned, what they'd do again in a heartbeat. And what they'd do next, if they were starting from zero today.

    I hope this helps.

Review the books by these leaders and I think you will have a good foundation for understanding "the market for leadership" writing:

I'd want memorable case studies - details of the leader's background, their challenge, previous approaches, their timeline for action, and their results. Interviews of people around them. Video of seeing them talking (to better understand their leadership style). Who mentored them? Who they mentor?
