Promotional Campaign For Fresh Fruit Bouquet

Hi Guys,

So I have a friend who acquired one the popular Edible Arrangement franchises...however the challenge is finding a way to entice people to buy, they tried dropping off flyers, giving away samples in the community (mt.vernon). I myself am stuck, with no money to advertise in the newspapers...can you give me any ideas on how to help him?

They have buyers but it's so sporadic...

No money? Ok, then your small flyers or business cards should be at the nail salon. Check at the local hotels because business travelers often need to send something at the end of the trip. Edible Arrangement doesn't do a lot of assisting in this area. Business expos can help you.

Ok, but if it was me I would go door to door to every company in the area and ask if they ever give birthday bokays to their employees. 1 free after 10 is a start. Not sure what the margins are with them.

Right now decisions are being made about corporate holiday giving. Michael is right-- go to every corporate office -- but talk holiday giving.

Also, think realtors. Every realtor (just about) gives a gift at closing. And with move in time so hectic, and considering the kitchen stuff is somewhere (somewhere) in that van.-- what a great gift.

I offer a service to realtors. For just asking I speak at their sales meetings (held weekly). 15 minute presentation. You can too. BTW, they are breakfast meetings-- so forget the donuts (and the ladies hate those donuts) and bring something they'll go for. They're going to be bulk buyers, so think how to make it personal. And of course discounts talk.

BTW, in sales I give the decision maker a gift-- and the "gals at the front desk" one too. I send my gifts early cause the week of the holidays they are swimming in carbs. Sending early (which is a good sales tactic push order now) makes you stand out from the crowd.

So how many corporate guys send out Christmas gifts? Stand out-- think Halloween, Thanksgiving.

I did a breakfast presentation where I brought fruit. Honestly-- 6 years later I hear, "geez Carol, make sure you don't bring us fat carpet guys fruit again" when they see me on the schedule. And the ladies "leave her alone I'll die if another rep brings me another donut".

So market to the "donut" rep.
