I have come across many student dissertation title dilemmas on this website so thought I'd add mine too.
My dissertation has to be marketing related and I am particularly interested in topics around social media and the online presence of brands. I was thinking of doing a study on the consumer-brand interaction in online communities, with a specific focus on luxury cosmetic brands such as Clinique, Barry M and Lancome.
It will investigate the current opportunities for such brands including social networking presence, virtual make-overs, beauty forums and reviews/recommendation websites. I want to explore how consumers engage with brands in online communities, therefore will need qualitative data, which in turn will provide me with information for recommendations for the industry, in this area.
Is there anything else I should think about at this stage of writing my research proposal? I'm also quite stuck in summarising into a working dissertation title.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Jodie.
