A solution in search of a problem? Sounds like inside-out marketing to me.

@ mgoodman - thanks for the response. The pain that this app addresses is the need to make faster real-life introductions. The app plays the "name game" for you. Hopefully that helps clarify. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Are you hoping to make money from selling the app or some additional services? Are you providing affiliate fees for people who might help you co-market to the niches you're targeting (if so, then this can be a fundraiser for college student organizations)?

For whom is making faster real-life introductions a problem? I'm sure I don't understand. Why is the speed of making introductions a benefit? For whom? I'd like to help, but I don't understand the benefit yet.

@ Jay - thanks for the response. The app is free on the iPhone store and revenue comes from advertising and other promotions on the backend. But regardless you idea of doing a fundraiser for college groups is a good one. Thanks.

@ Mark - this app is useful for college freshman and sophomores looking to make quick introductions and figure out who knows who.

We've also talked about it's application for conferences or other professional networking events where you are trying to meet a lot of people - and the right people - in a short amount of time.
