Online Lingerie Site

Would like to start online lingerie site for medium to fuller figure women, need assistance with market research, pricing, name in other words what should I be looking at to be marketable and affordable. Based in Cape Town, South Africa. Thank you

    You should be looking for a business/marketing consultant who knows the ropes for online business start-ups.

    It would be a plus if the individual was in/familiar with Cape Town and had some experience in intimate apparel, but neither of these is really essential if YOU know the markets well. What you really need is someone who really knows the ins and outs of starting an online business.

    As for market research, you can probably get someone to execute for you once you define (in your own mind) what the question is (i.e., the objective of the research) and the expected use of results (i.e., what will you do differently based on the learnings from the research). That person needs to really understand market research, and it isn't important that they be local or that they have industry experience.

    P.S. Have you already determined how you would source the products you'll sell? Would you plan to compete with manufacturers' sites that sell the same merchandise? Do you have your own sources? What would your positioning be, do you know? Why would someone in your target audience buy from you? What is your unique selling proposition?
