Ideas For New Office Opening

We are a software company based in Mumbai, India. We are expanding and opening a new office which is in the same building as our current office. Need some ideas to put some excitement into the opening. The people in attendance are our internal staff. We want the event to be fun but not more han 1 hour. Any ideas on unique corporate giveaways would also be appreciated.

    Excitement? Why? It seems a little odd to be celebrating the opening of a new office in the same building. What is the objective of the "celebration?" What do you want your internal staff to do or think as a result of your celebration?

    If you're moving people's workspaces from one office to another - have an office moving competition between various groups. Each are assigned an office to move from one space to the other. Take photos of the original spaces. Points awarded for speed, accuracy of movement, etc.

    I would shift the interest from the physical aspect of adding a new office space and put more attention to why you are needing this new space. Is it safe to assume that you are expanding your operations due to company growth? Personally an event to highlight when and how you started , where you are now and where you see yourselves in the future would be a more meaningful event . Make the event a morale boosting opportunity for your company and show your employees they are part of the growth.
