At first glance you may laugh at this product - I did :-D After you wiped the tears away and pick yourself up off the floor... please give it some thought... feedback we can use.

Some background... this product was developed by a cancer survivor and it looks as though Alec Baldwins Mom will be endorsing it with her Breast Cancer Foundation.

Some feedback has been... this is a great thing for a child to send to a loved one.

Some feedback has been... the product is a little creepy.

Please tell us your genuine thoughts and any savvy marketing ideas you may have along the lines of positioning, campaigns, social, etc.

Thanks So Much For Your Time And Help

    Hello!

Deviating slightly from the lines of positioning and campaigns...

I woud think the youth segment can be targeted for this product. How about a tie up with high schools/ colleges/ universities etc for sale of the product.

Asking corporates to buy large quantities to be given to their employees perhaps as an effective tool for 'morale boosting' or as a token of appreciation to their clients.....

Trust this would work ... :-)

The idea about schools is interesting - what kind of ideas come to mind for schools... one I just had this minute is personalizing for schools... what do you think...

Corporate idea is interesting also... what comes up for me there is... will employees think its cheesy... how could you get this type of product into your organization where it didn't seem weird or something...

Please let me here from you - any feedback and discussion around this is gratefully appreciated - and you're helping out a fellow entrepreneur. THANKS!

I'd first want to clearly identify who likes the product. How old? Gender? Location? Demographic? In what context? Without knowing where the "sweet spot is", coming up with a strategy is a blind guess, and that isn't of true use to you.

I see no value in this except to contribute to a cause. And if I wanted to contribute I'd contribute directly. I would not want a portion of my donation going to something this -- to be kind -- so "goofy". I can't think of any promo lately as gimicky as this -- ever... sorry. This gimick takes from the bottom line of a good cause. And is worth zip to te recipient.

Here's the thing, I think this product is useless but, I also think flowers are useless and they sell like hot cakes. I don't think under 30 is your demographic here. I can see this as a valentines day gift and I can see it the type of gift that a 40/50 something year old woman would send to her sister. I think the baby boomers and maybe slightly younger is your target demo. What I would do is try to get with companies like 1800flowers.com I would first try to sell them the product if they don't want to buy it I would talk to them about drop shipping the product that way there is no risk on their part. Just my thoughts
