Your Use Of Social Media

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
As a 4th year International Business student at the University of Brighton (U.K.) I am currently in the processes of writing my undergraduate dissertation. The aim of my dissertation is to understand the use of social media by businesses to promote and sell their products, with a particular focus on Facebook. I am keen to gain a deeper understanding of the topic and would be very grateful if you could spare a few minutes of your time to complete my questionnaire regarding your use of social media which is available at:

https://www.kwiksurveys.com/online-survey.php?surveyID=HHIOGK_f9a6a6ba

The questionnaire should only take between 5-10 minutes and any information you could provide me with would be deeply appreciated, and of great importance to my research.
If you have any additional information or opinions you would like to share with me please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you
Harriet Grange

What population are you researching? Are you looking for responses among marketing professionals who frequent online forums? (If so, you have a very biased target, since the forums themselves are a form of social media.)

And if you have a broader population target, then asking us to respond may skew the validity of your research result.

You may need some help with the design of your study, or with restating your objective and expected use of results.

The survey tool didn't work. There is something wrong. When I clicked on <Finish Survey> nothing happened. There is an error symbol on the lower right corner of the page.

After several minutes, I did get a page about the survey tool. Don't know if that means my responses were recorded or received or not. (It didn't say they were.)

Suggestion: You might want to define what you mean by "social media marketing" before you ask all those questions. Each respondent may have a different idea about what constitutes "social media marketing," so you'll be reading an amalgam of different views.

You might also want to consult with someone who knows how to structure a questionnaire for online surveys.
