How Can I Get All Marketingprofs Members Vote?

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Our non profit charity cannedwater4kids.org has been picked to compete for votes as "Small charity of the year award" by https://classyawards.stayclassy.org/classy-awards/

I need to get votes by Nov. 5th 11:59pm for us to win.

I would like to tap into marketingprofs membership and their connections to make this happen?

Please help by sending me your ideas.

I think you're asking a little bit much.

I am sure there are dozens of charities (possibly hundreds of charities) which are already near and dear to marketing profs forum participants.

It seems to me that you need to focus on forums and social media avenues where you have actively participated and where you have developed and nurtured relationships over time.

This is a great forum. I encourage you to keep asking questions. And I highly recommend that you also actively participate in answering questions by others.

    Good luck.

Best way is to pay for an ad on the marketing profs website

Greg – I also think that you are asking a bit much, but my reasoning is as usual derived from stats rather than sentiment – or even the challenge of getting the membership to back you rather than their usual charities. To achieve your goal, you would, in my opinion, have needed to start your approach earlier (You have not left enough time for any campaign of support to gather momentum in any community) and also to win the support of MarketingProfs management. You need the backing of the site, not the forum!

MarketingProfs might have a membership of 360,000, but their use of and readership of the forum is necessarily more limited. They all take a notification one least one topic by email, but that means that your entreaty would reach at the most about 30,000. Then the members need to follow the link and to read a question – that probably drops it to about 3,000. Out of these, those who take a passive interest are probably less than 200 and as few questions ever get more than 10 responses excluding the author’s, it is reasonable to assume that the number who are moved to respond will be less than 20. That isn’t going to win you any prizes!

On the other hand, were you able to persuade the management to back your cause and to make space available on the site itself and to have it mentioned as a supported cause in the email bulletins, then you would potentially command the attention of up to 360,000 subscribers. How you would achieve such backing and support from the site, I don’t know, but as you are a salesman selling to marketing professionals you should be knocking at a half open door.

Sorry if I sound a bit negative – I would prefer it to be viewed as being, “Realistic”

    Best wishes

use facebook! Its the best social network to get results like that. What you should do is to add some groups of the same interest and ask them to do some clicking.
