Follow Up On Earlier Marketing Question

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
A while back I asked for input regarding a service that is "Event Driven". In other words, no one will have a need for the service until an event occurs. I talked around the actual service until it had made its debut. That has happened. Please see:

https://www.memorialsovernight.com

Now that the service is understood, I would like some feedback as to methods to keep it before the public until it is needed. As this is a very TIME oriented service, potential customers need the name and particulars at the front of their mind at the point of their NEED.

Replies very much appreciated! Kind of a unique marketing challenge...

It would seem that the best place to market your services to are the funeral homes themselves. They often help with obituaries, and they might offer information about donations "in memory of".

    Thanks, Jay,

I knew someone would get around to answering the actual question I posted eventually... ;-)

A random group of Funeral Homes have been polled and they're all excited about the concept.

Win, win, win... everyone involved benefits.

    Anyone else ?

    MANY thanks, Theresa,

Excellent idea. We ARE marketing to Charities & Non-Profits, extolling our benefits and encouraging them to link to our site, but we had not considered hospices specifically. We'll investigate some channels !

All Charities have much to gain and nothing to lose by helping promote awareness of our service. As we DO NOT handle the donation itself, there's no need for "validation".

Because of the timeliness issue, I really think the funeral homes are going to be your only reliable option. You can do some PR with the charities themselves, but I would be surprised if they have much influence when the decision makers are making their decision.

With what appears to be no further response, I'm going to go ahead and close this one out.

I already had one answer and was trying for more, but it seems the obvious was missed.

Develop a parallel and complimentary product that needs to be viewed periodically and place it along the primary product on the website. Both products get the continued exposure.

We have this product under development....

Happy marketing to all and to all a good night. ;-)
