Post To Slideshare For Multiple Clients

Posted by greg.ness on 250 Points
We need to post presentations to Slideshare for multiple clients. Is there a way to do this? For example – just like you might use HootSuite or some other service to post to multiple social media accounts...Twitter...Facebook, etc.?

I'm not sure I understand what the difficulty is for you.

I have several slideshare.net presentations, that I announce and link to blog posts and easily promote through facebook, twitter etc.

Maybe you could clarify your question ...?

Yes, you go to the Slideshare website and post your slides. Then you give your target audience the link. It's that easy.

Steve and mgoodman...thank you for your responses. Yes, I do need to clarify. We know how to upload a presentation to Slideshare for ourselves – that's very straightforward. However, we work with many clients and we need to manage this process for them. They want us to set up the Slideshare accounts and upload the slide shows to those accounts. Slideshare will not let us use our own email account to set up these accounts because we already have Slideshare accounts assigned to those email addresses. For example, a program like HootSuite let's us manage many of our client's Twitter and Facebook pages all from one central console. Of course, our clients have given us permission to do this so the process is quite easy. That is why we are hoping there is a resource similar to HootSuite that would could use for Slideshare that would let us manage multiple Slideshare accounts easily. Right now we'd have to go through a rather convoluted process to do that.

    Dear Greg,

Why not simply set up a gmail account for each client
name that you want to set up a Slideshare account for?

    Gary,

That is what we have been doing, but compared to solutions for posting to other multiple social media accounts – Tweetdeck, HootSuite, etc. – it is cumbersome. I am sure something will come along to enable this, but I am surprised there is nothing yet.

    Greg,

Thanks for the clarification. I must say, I’m not surprised that there is no “off the shelf” solution for your problem yet. I spent 10 years working for a web development firm and this is a good example of the kinds of problems client would come to us to solve. One option is for you to have a programming team write the code to solve this problem and perhaps then offer it to others to recover your costs and maybe even turn it into a profit center.

Not the answer you want to hear, but if it doesn’t exist, build it yourself is the basis for developing products just like the one your company desires.

Thanks Steve we do things like that: https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N300000016cgtE...

However, in this case, I am betting it is right around the corner with companies such as HootSuite, Seesmic, etc.

Thanks again for your help. I guess I'll just need some patience which I'm not good at :-)

Thanks for your suggestions Karen. I am familiar with Sliderocket, but most of our clients use SlideShare as a standard, so that is hopefully the site we can find a solution to address multiple accounts.
