Financial Indicators For Growth?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi all,

I have an upcoming Job interview with a small company who according to my company research are seeking to grow. The role will be primarily Marketing related however there will be a Commercial aspect.
To help with the latter I would like to prepare for potential Financial related questions.
Two specific questions I would like to work on are:
1) What are the key financial indicators to analyse growth opportunities?
2) What are the key commercial aspects to understand suitability?

I appreciate any help you can give re. these 2 specific questions.
Thanks in advance

    Thanks for your reply PhilGrisolia4Results

Perhaps I wasn't too clear in my initial post - those two questions are ones which I am anticipating that I will get asked.
I am going for the interview (I am not the interviewer).

I would therefore like to prepare ANSWERS for these two questions:
    1) What are the key financial indicators to analyse growth opportunities?
    2) What are the key commercial aspects to understand suitability?

It all depends on how they measure them. Is this a publicly traded company? If so, read their annual reports to discern their strategy. If not, dig through their website (etc.) to find how/when/why they do what they do (and pay attention to both failures and successes). Also pay attention to their time frame - how quickly do they measure success/failure? Would a different time frame matter?

Growth/suitability could be for brand awareness, increased customers, better customers, new directions, partnerships, etc.

If anyone has any examples of financial indicators for growth opportunities it would be great to hear them
