Im Opening A Joint Bridal And Maternity Wear Shop

I am planning to open a joint bridal shop + maternity in one roof. Can you please assist on the good name that will catch both brides and pregnants? Do you think this joint will work better? Thanks a lot for your assistance.

    You're going to have a tough time creating a brand image for your shop when you try to appeal to different needs like that. It's hard enough to create a strong brand for ONE target audience (and its needs). Going after both all but guarantees you will do a less good job for both.

    My suggestion would be that you become a preeminent bridal shop. Focus on that. And if you want to contact former customers after a few months to let them know you also have maternity clothes (when they're ready), that's probably OK.

    I'd also try to include something in the name or tagline that ties to your community, so folks will know you're "one of them" and in touch with the norms and values of your area.

    As Michael suggests, it's going to be hard to do both well. But in the meantime, if you're seriously considering this venture, how about the name, "Here Comes The Baby"?

    Your response really opened my mind and I thank you very much. I have decided to go for it and later slowly I will establish another shop which will be dealing with only maternity. Thanks a lot
