Establishing A Boutique - Help!

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hi everyone!

I am starting a small business of my own - finally! I decided to start out by selling costume jewelry at a decent price and if I did well with that, I would progress to clothing. I'm thinking definitely women's clothes (suitable for women in their 20's, 30's, and 40's) and possibly children's clothing. My main concern: DECENT PRICE.

Where do all of you boutique owners get your stuff? I have no idea where to begin in all of this!

You could travel to the various shows around the country to by your clothing. It can be costly. Or you can use a buyer to do the work for you.

I suggest you look at www.nancyhallman.com to see how this can work for you.

Disclaimer: This is my daughter's business.

Hello, there is a store doing something like this in my area! What they are doing is offering a buyback program where people bring them clothes and they buy it off of them at a decent price! The local chatter is that this store is doing it for 30 days, than opening it up as a store. They will continue their buy-back program, but will predominantly be selling.

Also, utilizing social media, buying on eBay, and putting a post on craigslist will also help you get what you are looking for!
