Why target corporations - are you looking for sponsorship or to perform at an office location?

By promote - are you looking to sell more tickets to an upcoming show, or simply trying to spread the word about your play/company?

We are very new, just one play old. So, any kind of promotion will help us. About the corporations, we are mainly looking to increase our ticket sales through them. I more importantly require ideas to promote and publicize the play, named NO HEAVEN. Also, the play is to be staged in November, so right now i require ideas that will have a 'long lasting impact' on the minds of the youngsters till the final, actual promotions of the play begin. We basically need to create a buzz, and keep it going. Any ideas?

Was the play filmed? Can you showcase different 30sec trailers of the play every few weeks to build awareness/interest?

Can you create a tie-in to a local community/business event with the play? Can you perform a scene from the play in local schools and/or senior citizen centers (to build PR)? Can you create a contest (especially tied in to Halloween, given your horror-theme) for people to dress up/act out/write about a similar theme to your play?

Have the characters (in full costume/makeup) roam around the campus and the business area of your city. That would start a buzz that you could then tie into some posters resembling "Lost & Found" posters but with images of your characters - "MISSING! Last seen Friday night leaving ABC Theatre, If you see them, please point them to Address, we have a show that starts at #:00" (something like that)

Rush hour walkabouts would be best in the business areas, and sporadic walkarounds on campus. Especially around the area of your theatre. Do that off and on leading up to the play. Maybe, if people "catch" one of the characters they get a ticket (that might get people looking for them)

Also, invite the local critic and some theatre bloggers in your area to get the word out. Possibly have a character hand deliver tickets to the press, and to people that live close to the theatre.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, you've probably already done that. You said it was to be staged in November, but that it has been well-received, so I wasn't sure if it was currently running.

Promote NO HEAVEN, if you only have one play so far, promoting the company will come as people attend the productions.
