Letter To Customers From Previous Employer.

I would like to send a letter to my customers of a previous employer notifying them of my career change and that I would like to be able to serve them still in my new position in a different line of business.

    GENERALLY, unless you signed a non-compete agreement there is nothing to stop you from contacting former clients....especially if you are in a completely different line of business.

    Now, there might be an issue of you copied the database and brought it with you. That''s an issue. If you took the clients'' business cards with you...another issue. Did you bring the clients in to your former employer or were they already there? See, these are all legal issues.
