Strategy To Integrate New Company Acquisition

Posted by lyndadahlheimer on 250 Points
Looking for a high level marketing strategy/plan/timeline to integrate a new company acquisition to our existing company. The company acquired is an established company. I'm looking for advice on the components/communications needed, a schedule, experience (do's and don'ts), etc.

I think if you had access to the business plan for this acquisition, a lot of these questions would be already answered. Even if the businesses would be autonomous, there still will be a plan. There is really no generic answer. I've done plans where there is a large hoopla of an acquisition and others where barely a ripple occurs. I would start at what you envision the end result and work backwards to that goal.

At the very least, to begin a plan you need to assess what you have now, the resources you will gain, those you have now, the redundancies-- the beginning timeline is usually indicated by others (the lawyers)
