Grocery Delivery Service

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Could i provide a grocery delivery service that delivers groceries for only ONE specific chain (ie. whole foods)? I am thinking a simple delivery service that does not markup grocery products but simply charges a flat delivery fee. If so do i need permission from the store, and do I need permission to either 1) provide links to their product list on my website or 2) post or provide as a download their product list on my website?

No, you don't need permission to build a delivery service from point a to b. You would need to talk to them if you want them to market and help you promote your business. Logo, etc, yes, product links, just smart business. But you are just providing a delivery, not a shopping cart to buy their product. You are setting it up right, you are independent with no affiliation to the chain. I'd spell that out for protection

Heck yes you can make $ with a flat fee. You are wise as you can build in efficiencies by combining multiple orders in one trip. In this case, less is more. One point A, load and go to the clients from there.

Many grocery stores allow you to shop online and have order ready and picked for pick up. I did it when I had 4 kids at home and between that and my full time self owned biz, it kept me sane.
