Before you create the website and consider social media, you first need to identify exactly who's likely to be interested in your product:

    - Age, income level, gender of your target audience
    - What makes your rice better/different from other low glycemic index rice?
    - Is the rice grown organically / sustainably?
    - Does the rice taste better/same?
    - Does the rice come in special varieties (long/short grain, brown/white/red/black, etc.?)
    - Is your target audience aware of low GI rice or will you need to educate them about the availability/benefits/safety of it?

Once that's crystal clear, then you can create a website focusing on what's important to those that you're targeting (and explaining what makes your rice the clearly better choice).

Then, you can connect with these people by going to forums, cross-promoting with local organizations/businesses (perhaps recipes with your rice featuring other local brands, etc.), investing in pay-per-click, etc.

    As per all the above.

Plus, videos of social proof from respected experts in testimonial form. Here, you're not selling rice, you're gathering a starving crowd. You're offering salvation from suffering. This means you need to build a SENSE of a community.

No one's going to buy from you until you make them feel that you feel their pain, that you've walked in their boots. Your buyer's path to your door needs to be relationship-based, NOT sales based, otherwise you'll lose people along the way ... they'll just wonder off the track and your efforts will wither on the vine.
