Tips Needed For Obtaining Users Test

Pod-programming is a new startup company from France, We are planning to get the users test through social media and forum. Here on this forum we are looking for advices from marketing guru. The question would be how do we start to obtain users test through social media?


The company overview are given below :

We have currently developed an application (Podbox) which builds on the principle of master data management tool, cloud platform and POD technology. This application is addressed for those who have encountered data scattered problems and poor data qualities output. Podbox is designed to clean, merge and share your data. This application has transformed into all in one place solution for professionals. No-IT skills are required. The usability of Podbox is for everyone.
Users can also prove the immediate effect for their productivity at work. Podbox enables the users to load all the data from any apps. Podbox is now available on alpha version with limited features.

I would appreciate any tips and advices.

    Who specifically are you trying to get as customers?
    Why would they want to use your software?
    What makes it better/unique than your competition?
    Why social media/forum to attract users? Why not direct advertising, pay-per-click, etc.?
    What's the price point for your software?
    Have you written a formal marketing/business plan, or did you simply write the software with the hope that people will want it when it's done?

    We are currently targeting professionals (include Human resource, administrator and salesmen or even the marketer), USA is the main target market. Most of professionals have encountered Data scattering over many applications and poor quality data output. This has propelled us into this business.
    due to the fact that inefficiency data handling and poor data quality cost billions of fortune worldwide. Most of data management tools are required IT professionals and a lot of investment. but not in our case.
    Freemium will be introduced after public beta, right now we are looking for test users and monitoring minimum viable product to the market through social media or forum. I hope it is explained well.
