My App

Posted by donli on 25 Points
First, it would be nice if we have a tab like "MyApp" something for people to review or simply check out MyApp, which can be an iPhone/smartphone app or a web app or even desktop app...

So, here we go, this is my app for simple online note-taking (but before you say there are tons of them... there are tons of books out there as well...)

What is this supposed to do for me? What is the benefit I might realize if I try/use the app? Simple and fast are only important if the end-result is something I want and can't get easily and quickly.

My experience: (1) I don't understand why I might be interested; (2) When I clicked on the "faster" link, it wanted me to register for something, only I don't know what it is?

    Huh?

    Fair enough.
    Response.
    1)
    (a) Might it be useful to me? (See description below)
    (b) Curiosity?

    2)
    Did you see the following?

    Quick Notes by Subject

This is a super simple note-taking web app. Simply register with your email address and you'll receive an email notification on how to activate your account and then be able to log in and add notes. We hope you'll enjoy it.

Click here to see how it looks like:

Then, on the top right side, 3 buttons/links of
    [demo] [login]/[register}

    Phil,

I hear you and yet I should say, the software isn't for every body, that is, it's for students.

    Here's the starting for it.
A quick review of our learning process at its bare minimal or core

    Key Information/Knowledge Capture
When a student is taking notes during a lecture/class, his FOCUS should really on figuring out what's Important, what's Interesting and what's he thinks Important and yet Does Not Understand, hence, typing or even writing them down. Learning theory of “Write to learn”... While doing text formatting etc. non-essential tasks for the note would take Valuable Time away from Understanding and Preparation for further Understanding (note-taking). And of course ask questions where an opportunity arises.

    Next, Information Organization.
Of course most of us (students) can't possibly grasp everything for a lecture/class, hence, after note-taking, we need to Review it. So, that means access /retrieval of this note should be super easy. How about Knowledge NoteBook on this?

Next, Facts in the form of knowledge.
For these sort of knowledge, it requires rote memorization, Flash Card approach helps a lot.
And an ability of making such digital cards easily and contextual is meaningful and then, again, easy access to them is equally important, how does Knowledge NoteBook fare on this?

    Next, Key Concepts.
They are so important and some of them are not that easy to understand, hence, a convenient way to look at it from multiple angles such as visualizing it or relating it to another concept would facilitate its understanding...

And if we go a step further with regard to a note on a qualitative subject,
Knowledge NoteBook actually has an ability to evaluate the quality of the note (the KN website's Features page has more on this guy)....
    ...

All these sort of capability is not what a generic word processor like Word can deliver.

Aha! So maybe the target audience is college students (undergraduate and graduate). And the benefit is faster/easier learning and better academic performance. Why not say so?
