Social Media At Product Fair - Medical

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am tasked with the organization of a product fair of our companies 25 year celebration symposium. I want to create a part of my booth as a community corner. Purpose of this corner is that people can share their ideas on the past-present and future of our brand. My idea was to create a facebook-style page where people can share their feedback. This would be done on a big screen where everybody can see what people are sharing. But I am a bit at a lost end, as I am not sure whether this will work, whether I am missing something, and how I could make it a memorable part of the event. After the event, I would like to use this tool to further create a community across the members. At this point I have nothing concrete yet... anybody any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Nathalie,

Your best bet might just to be to launch this as a Facebook page, with a live feed, at the event. The only way to know if it will work is to try it.

Forget trying to do this at a table, at the event because you'll receive less buy in. You'll also need to prepare yourself for people's honest opinions, even if some of these are negative.

To engage people, to make it memorable, you'll need a call to action, some kind of ethical bribe or prize to pull people in: "Comment and you'll be entered to win an XYZ", that kind of thing.
