Develop/plan Routes For Distribution Of Cellphones

Need to plan the routes for distributing single brand mobile phones from the central warehouse to retail outlets. 3 activities involved; order booking, delivery and cash/cheque collection. Currently market demands personal presence of Sales representatives for order booking. There are 6 routes with an average of 50 outlets in each route. 70% of the sales is generated from just 2 routes covering the Central Business Area of the city.
Problem: The other 4 routes contribute very little to sales, cost of servicing these routes is high. Parent company insists these routes have to be serviced.

    Your question may be better off being presented to the logistics department of the parent company. Without local knowledge on the parts of contributors to this forum it's impossible to answer your question.

    Maybe you can adjust the FREQUENCY of service based on volume, so the high-volume routes are serviced 5 or 6 times as frequently as the low-volume routes.
