Software For Product Development

Is anyone aware of any program that tracks the steps in product development from a marketing perspective?

    It's different for different products and industries. The best thing to do is use general project management software and get buy-in from the R&D folks to work with you to be sure (a) they have the most current consumer input, (b) their management and yours are given the same information, and (c) you're both working toward the same objective at the same time.

    That way nobody will be surprised at the end.

    I've used Microsoft Project for this with some success. I agree with Mgoodman that using a general project tracking software would be how I would go. I don't think that there are any marketing specific ones, and if there are, they likely wouldn't meet my needs anyway.
