you have entertained people up till now. If your idea has gone stale, there will have been murmurs from them. People will cry off coming and might even give a reason - this is invaluable for you. At least it tells you something.

As to new ideas - if this has anything to do with management it usually means the same thing only dressed in different clothes. Getting anything "new" is far from easy, even when your customers want it. Usually the people go elsewhere and the management pack their bags.

So: you need an awards evening that stimulates your company.

You could have an after-dark owl/badger/fox watch with a local expert.
A night-time wander around the place seeing how nature is quite different in style from the daylight hours we are so familiar with.

If it is environmental, why then evening?

You could go looking at things in the daytime, a fungus foray perhaps? You could make things in some basic craft camp where you get to make useful things with (say) leather or straw. Indeed if it took an entire week you could really give your staff the idea of just how hard it is to make things by hand. Start with a sheep and get dinner - and use the skin for shoes. I have seen it done and it is profoundly moving for all involved. Green woodworking is also a possible addition, again starting with a tree. For 180 people you would need to split them into groups of 12 or so ... and as an annual event it would allow people to choose something different each time they participated.

    What do you think?

Are you looking for a presentation that's passive (magic show, dance, comedy, music, etc.) or something that's active (treasure hunt, dancing, building a house, cleaning up a beach, etc.)?
What's the name of your organization? It's URL?
