There is no standard algorithm. Each situation is unique.

You have a problem: you are looking at the wrong side of the problem. You are looking for systems and algorithms where there are none. A website isn't some fixed system, it is the expression of the owners.

Their needs and their wishes will determine what levels there are, and the value of their points. That is why Mr Goodman says the things he does, because each business is unique. They may not act it, they are.

The offers they have will be based on market research, and usually that is done in a way to satisfy the company directors/marketing department rather than discover real openings in the market.

Understanding offers requires a real understanding of what drives people.

I hope this helps. Moriarty xx

Are you asking about a specific website's functionality or how to set up your own website? How that algorithm functions depends on its design & goals.
