Content Of Free Hispanic Marketing Newsletter

Posted by HispanicMarketingLibrary on 25 Points
I publish a Hispanic marketing newsletter titled "Surfing the Net." The newsletter is FREE and is delivered 24 times a year via email as a .pdf file.

The newsletter is a well-referenced DIGEST of posts important to marketing professionals targeting Hispanic Americans.

A sample of the newsletter can be found at:

How can I improve the contents of the newsletter?

Thank you!

Dr. T.

Ask for feedback amongst your subscribers and for those that visit your site but don't choose to sign up. Both will no doubt have lots to say.

Work with a graphic designer to create a masthead. Use headlines that demand attention. Develop a page layout that's a three column lock up. Use images. Add captions to those images that tell a story. Use call outs.

I'm with Gary. The newsletter in its current format is not very engaging/inviting. It's mostly a visual thing, but it really doesn't matter. If people don't value it (for whatever reason) they're not going to request, or spend any time reading, it.

Also, "Surfing the Net" doesn't give any hint about the contents of the newsletter, the target audience, or why anyone might want to read/receive it. (What's the benefit for your target audience?)

Well the graphics end has been covered. The wording as such does little to encourage reading, it is bitty and you have used spacing to disadvantage. To be engaging, you need to allow the eye to rest. That means a graphic to emphasize an article, or some easily read piece that the reader can dive into without having to strain their intellect too much. You can get to the technical bits once they are attuned to your wavelength.

And not a whisper of advice from the esteemed Monmark Group? Surely there is another angle?
