The next question is to ask what question your business answers. Say it out loud, write it down. Because that is the question they will be asking that your business answers. Few people look for answers, most have questions!

You can do it for free: blogging, forums, newspapers, friend's websites even (though that is deprecated today). Making your blog topics relevant to the questions your prospects are asking will rank you well for SEO (search engine optimization - where you come well up in Google's rankings).

You can do it with paid online advertising: Google/Bing Adwords/PPC and their display networks. These are fast, cheap and are amazing value that few people exploit to the full. For a few bucks you can hone your message to your best clients. You can use this everywhere else and know it works, because you have the evidence that it does.

Less effective is paid advertising offline. Leave that for the big boys with deep pockets.

Best way could be on Facebook/Linkedin/Google oaid advertisement that way you can create a buzz.

if it is existing market then highlight the customer whom your website will serve. if it is new market then provide diverse service through your new website.

for launch use youtube, facebook, orkut, twitter etc.
