Creative Ways To Give Out Product?

Posted by mvhsgymnast2 on 250 Points
I would like some ideas of some creative and or unique ways to give out product. This would primarily be on campus of a large university and would focus on college students.

Any ideas appreciated

What kind of "product" are we talking about here? One might imagine unique ways of distributing ice creams - only in wintertime it wouldn't seem quite as clever (unless of course you got them discounted as I did on one winter's day in Oslo). We also need to know what you intend giving it for, because in these days there's no such thing as a free lunch. Especially at uni.

It would be a type of granola bars.
And they would be indeed for free in order to create brand awareness on campus

Fair enough. Only what makes your granola bar special? Just giving it away free only means that the students eat them (I know, for my sins, I was a student) - and then goes back to eating whatever they can afford in the local supermarket.

My thinking is that your "unique way" needs to communicate the uniqueness of the bar. Go to any supermarket and there's an entire aisle of them - each different, each more or less expensive - and each as easily made at home. Which is what I did at uni because I was saving up for the flight home.

Following that line of thought, how easy would it be to make the things on campus in front of their eyes? After all it would demonstrate the quality and pureness of the ingredients (health laws allowing, of course).

Giving them out is the easy part. Encouraging them to pay for them (in the future) is the harder part. How can you encourage them to switch to your bars - how about offering a trade-in - maybe 2 of your granola bars for one of whatever they eat?

Free sample + CTA w/OTO (call to action w/one time offer) + high value incentive.
