Sales Representation

Posted by johnvaccaro1 on 25 Points
1)I have just signed on 2 manufacturers for my new sales rep business. Should I get business cards made for each company? Should I change me address in my email to add the manufacturer I represent instead of my rep agency name? 2)I am going to a conference with one of the manufacturers, call it Acme Co. Should I get business cards with the manufacturer name on it? To me this makes sense as the end customer would feel more that they are going direct to the manufacturer? Your thoughts? Thanks, John V

Normally, as a rep, you would have a separate company name and card to reflect that. Some reps do list the products/brands they carry on their card, but if you are still adding products to what you carry, you may not want to do this (as it would require changing cards as you add products).

Customers are generally used to this. They know that large companies sell their products through local sales agencies, so are used to getting cards with different names and emails form different people at the booth.
