Recommendations For Content Creation Software..

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Does anyone know of any software that can help me create professional looking content outputs (please not PowerPoint!)? I do not have the budget for agency help, or the time and inclination to learn how to use tools like illustrator. I am looking for something really easy to use but that will look great?

And realize that without a strong understanding of how to present ideas powerfully, all of these tools are simply nicer window dressing.

The tools don't make the carpenter. It's the message that counts.

Why not PowerPoint? You can do a lot with it.

What kind of content are you looking to create?

Many thanks All - apologies for late response but it has been school vacation time here in the UK and have been holiday with the family.

Jay - thank you, the pc world article was really interesting. I knew some of the tools you mentioned but not all. Agree the content itself has to be stella to stand out but visual presentation has a massive impact today in a world where there is content overload. But how to create that visual impact quickly without losing the meat of the story you want to get across!

Mygoodman - I guess the above comment kind of covers some of your point. When it comes to PowerPoint - don't get me wrong; PPT can create great presentations especially if you have PPT 2013. Reality is though unless you are proficient in using it, it can take hours to create something (and often that something is ...well..quite rubbish!). Becoming proficient in PPT takes time....

Gary - looking to create long form content that is visually stunning, grabs the eye immediately, really easy and cost effective to create (i.e. don't have to have Adobe or PPT skills).

Once again - thank you so much for taking time to respond and apologies for not attending to my responses sooner.

Moderator - can they still pick up their points for responding?

    Many thanks
    Cathy
