I'm confused: you're looking for traffic from Pinterest to a site? Or from blogs to a site? If your goal is to drive traffic FROM Pinterest TO a sales page ON a website, you could use pay per click advertising, offers built into images on Pinterest, incentive-based shared traffic (share this and get X% discount). You could also use contests, polls, surveys, and giveaways.

In addition to what Gary says, the key is to have a link tied into your Pinterest posts. You should also consider creating landing pages so that you can drive traffic to various offers and know that they came from Pinterest. You can also use landing pages to test which Pinterest ads are most effective.

No matter where you are driving to, or where from, a basic requirement is that the place you are driving traffic to needs to have content of interest to the people you are driving there.
